A true bar is essential to determine if your base is flat, concave or convex. It also helps you in identify the amount of base-edge bevel you have or lack there of on your skis.

KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS
  • Enables you to evaluate your ski in order to determine what steps need to be taken during the preparation and set up phase.
  • Tells you whether your base is convex or concave - both undesirable conditions.
  • Ever wonder if the machine that did you skis or snowboards actually made your base flat? Using your True Bar quickly confirms this.
  • Determines whether your base is flat or not and also indicates the amount of base-edge bevel you have.
  • It's one of those overlooked tools but is absolutely crucial to establish if your edges are too high or if you have excessive base wear, both impacting your confidence and enjoyment on the snow.
  • This is a precision instrument and accurate to half the width of a human hair or in other words 1/1000th of an inch.
  • 130mm or 5.12" in length.
GOOD TO KNOW
  • The opposite side of this True Bar has been designed as cutting edge to remove base material when convex.
  • The cutting edge is also used to remove uneven or raised base material caused from hitting rocks and also for removing p-tex.

  • Our guides come in 91º, 92º, 93º, 94º and 95º increments which give you a side-edge bevel of 89º, 88º, 87º, 86º and 85º degrees respectively or in other words a 1º, 2º, 3º, 4º and 5º degree side-edge angle.

Want one tool that beautifully sharpens your edges & easily removes your sidewalls? Try our World Cup File Guide with Sidewall Adapter Kit.

KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS
    • Cleverly designed to be two tools in one for those of you who don't want the expense of buying two separate tools to remove sidewall and sharpen their edges. Saves space in your tuning kit too.
    • The SIDEWALL ADJUSTABLE ADAPTER KIT is necessary because it's used for removing the sidewall creating the necessary clearance which allows you to sharpen the edges at your desired angle. Therefore, it must be used prior to proper side-edge sharpening whenever interference occurs. Sidewalls that aren't removed will interfere with the file or stones ability to contact the steel edge making in impossible to sharpen correctly.
    • The adapter kit comes with anodized aluminum holder, micro-adjustable stainless steel pin to dial-in the perfect cut, a carbide cutter of your choice and best of all it's easily attachable/detachable with two screws. (allen keys included).
    • All of our File Guides are made of the highest quality aluminium and machined to the strictest tolerances because accuracy is essential.
    • WC guides come with a stainless steel anti-friction glide plate, are heavier, wear much better than regular guides and feel nicer in the hand.
    • Guides are colour anodised and laser embossed specifying the degree of angle and won't wear from use.
    • Our guides come in 91º, 92º, 93º, 94º and 95º degree increments which give you a side-edge bevel of 89º, 88º, 87º, 86º and 85º respectively or in other words a 1º, 2º, 3º, 4º and 5º side-edge angle.
    • Our suggested 'default' and the most popular side-edge bevel for all skiers and snowboarders is 92º or 2º.
    • You will certainly see and feel the superior quality once you use one.
    • 2 tools in one - a great way to save money.
    • Note: This model does not include our Trigger Clamp for securing the file or stone (this must be ordered separately).
CHOOSING THE APPROPRIATE CUTTER
    • The Round Standard cutter (gold) is typically used for 'sandwich' construction skis. They are more universal than square cutters and work well on all sidewalls and particularly for those new to removing their sidewalls.
    • The Round Sharp cutter (grey) have a sharper edge and therefore work amazingly well on certain brands, typically harder sidewalls found on competitive skis & boards.
    • The Square cutter is typically used for 'cap' construction skis however it also works well on all types of skis and boards especially if you're naturally skilled with your hands.
    • The Multi cutter has two round corners and two square corners for those who want to be able to do all types of sidewall with the same tool.
GOOD TO KNOW
  • Spare cutters as well as stainless steel shafts can be purchased separately for those who have different types of ski and boards and require different cutters.
  • Adding a Trigger Clamping System to this tool is the most accurate and safest way to clamp your stone and files to your File Guide and can be mounted left or right-handed.

Want one simple & easy to use tool that works to keep your edges ultra sharp? Try SIDECUT Diamond Guides. They're the smartest innovation in side-edge sharpening technology.

KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS
  • Clever design allows you to file with your File Guide and stone with your Diamond Guide without exchanging files for stones.
  • Dedicating your Diamond Guide to polishing & your File Guide to filing makes for a much cleaner system especially when using SIDECUT edge oil or other lubricant on your diamond stones.
  • When you're not constantly exchanging the file for the diamond stone on one particular File Guide you're more efficient saving valuable time.
  • Diamond Guides are small enough to carry in your pocket or pack & sharpen between runs on those really hard-packed days.
  • Safest & simpliest tool to learn with, decreasing the potential risk of damage done by a novice using a file on a File Guide.
  • Perfect if you're new to tuning or wish to teach younger children how to maintain their edges.
  • The ultimate stand alone tool to maintain daily edge grip.
  • Our WC Diamond Guides are precision machined aluminium and have a stainless steel anti-friction glide plate giving it a much nicer feel.
  • Come with steel thumb knob specifically designed to hold SIDECUT Diamond Discs.
  • Diamond Guides are machined to exactly the same tolerances as our File Guides and are colour anodized to match.
  • Come in 92º,93º & 94º degrees only (most popular angles).
***Remember to choose your Diamond Disc(s) which come in 120, 200, 400, 600 or 1000 grits to remove burrs, sharpen and polish - sold separately.***

GOOD TO KNOW
  • A 92º Diamond Guide gives you an 88º or 2º side-edge bevel. Some companies label their guides as 88º or 2º degrees. They are all the same.
  • It's better to have at least two Diamond Discs - 1 x 120 or 200grit for removing burrs and sharpening and 1 x your choice of 400, 600 or 1000 grit for polishing. If you're using this as a stand alone edge tuner and choosing only one disc - we recommend a 400grit disc.
  • The benefits of Diamond Discs vs. traditional rectangular stones is simple: they last longer because you can easily spin the disc, thereby using every bit of the diamond surface. Whereas with a rectangular stone you'll get a continual linear wear area that can't be reached on the File Guide.

This is a specific tool designed to remove the topsheet of all skis & boards as well as profile and polish your sidewalls.

Many skis and boards are very square at the tips and tails which doesn't allow you to achieve your desired side-edge bevel.  This tool profiles your topsheets (at the tips and tails) to precisely 110 degrees or greater if desired by the unique 'rolling' design of the tool. This allows your File Guide the needed clearance to apply the correct bevel. Used prior to side-edge sharpening whenever interference occurs. Used in the set-up of all new skis & boards.  Note: topsheets that aren't profiled correctly they will interfere with the file or stones ability to contact the steel at the tips and tails making it impossible sharpen your edges on the correct angle.

This tool also comes with our signature Trigger Clamp System for attaching any of our 100mm side-edge files or diamond stones for even more filing, sanding and polishing options on your topsheets and sidewalls. This tool is made entirely of stainless steel and glides smoothly on the base without marking. If precision tuning matters to you then this tool is a must.

KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS
  • All stainless steel construction 110 degree Topsheet Removal guide with unique 'rolling action'.
  • 100mm 'specialty' european radial file with a milled out channel that allows full adjustability. 4mm allen key provided.
  • Trigger clamping system which allows you to switch out the 'radial file' for one of our 100mm files or diamond stones.
  • Enables you to profile & polish not only the topsheet but also the sidewalls.
  • Sand out chatter marks caused from poor sidewall removal.
  • Better turn initiation.
  • Improved grip at the tips and tails.
  • Less drag when the ski or board is on its sidewall.
  • Easy to use.

Also, used as your first brush after waxing to re-open the base structure and known for the finest texturing. Can't get your edges sharp? This is most often because the sidewall is causing interference. A Sidewall Remover is without question the most overlooked yet most important tool to have in your kit. Precisely & effortlessly removes the sidewalls on any ski or board.

  • An essential tool used for the removal of the sidewalls on any ski or board.
  • Removing the sidewall allows the file or diamond stone to sharpen at your desired angle and therefore must be used prior to side-edge sharpening.
  • If your sidewall is not removed prior to side-edge tuning it will interfere with the file or stones ability to sharpen the edges.
  • Micro-adjustable to dial in the exact tolerance you desire.

CHOOSING THE APPROPRIATE CUTTER
  • The Round Standard cutter (gold) is typically used for 'sandwich' construction skis and boards. They are more universal than square cutters and work well on all skis and particularly for those new to removing their sidewalls.
  • The Round Sharp cutter (grey) have a sharp edge and therefore work amazingly well on certain brands of skis, typically harder sidewalls found typically on competitive skis.
  • The Square cutter is typically used for 'cap' construction skis however it also works well on all types of skis and boards especially for those who are more naturally skilled with their hands.
  • The Multi cutter has two round corners and two square corners for those who want to be able to do all types of sidewall with the same tool.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • Square and Round cutters as well as stainless steel shafts can be purchased separately for those who desire both round and square cutters. All of which are interchangeable on all of our tools.

Used for: Race, All-Mountain, Powder skis and Snowboards.

A Roto Brush system is an extremely efficient and professional way for base preparation, base cleaning, wax removal, polishing and finishing of the base resulting in superior gliding characteristics of your skis or board.
A major benefit our tool has is that the axle is easily removable and interchangeable with longer axles.  The axle easily snaps in and out making brush changes on the drill very quick. Roto brushes in this kit are all 150mm in length.

150mm 6 PIECE ROTO BRUSH KIT FEATURES

  1. Professional Roto handle with dual sealed bearings.
  2. Hexagonal stainless steel drive shaft.
  3. Clear see-through protection/safety cover so you can see what you're doing.
  4. Brass Roto Brush - 11mm length bristles. Used as your first brush before waxing for optimal base cleaning and revitalisation of your base structure. Also, commonly used as your first brush after waxing to re-open the base structure. Brass roto brushes are also essential to help extract tiny hairs in the base that are commonly left behind after a ski or board has been ground by a machine in a shop. These small micro hairs cause drag and reduce the glide of your base.
  5. Horsehair Roto Brush - 7mm length bristles. Used for base brushing. Generally used as your first brush for removing wax and also recommended to use after you've used a brass roto brush for cleaning the base. It helps in further extracting of any micro-fibres or tiny hairs left behind in the base structure. It's very important to remove these hairs to reduce friction and optimize glide.
  6. Nylon Roto Brush - 7mm length bristles. Typically the last brush used for removing wax and polishing the base. Nylon brushes are recommended exclusively by Nanox Wax for the final finishing step when using all Nanox Training, CFX, Spray and Supernano waxes.

Do you want absolutely everything you need to tune your skis or snowboards for years to come? The SIDECUT Professional Tuning Kit was designed for those who tune before nearly every session on the mountain and want the very best products to get the job done precisely and efficiently. Our most complete kit so you shop only once.

KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS

    1. WC File Guide with Trigger Clamp - choose between 91º,92º,93º,94º or 95º degrees (these degrees are synonymous to 89º,88º,87º,86º and 85º degrees respectively). Used for sharpening your side-edges.
    2. 2 x WC Files - choose between Cut 10, 14, 15, or 16. For use on side-edges with your File Guide. Short files work better for side-edge sharpening because they give you the most accurate bevel matching the contour of the side cut.
    3. 3 x WC Diamond Guides - choose between 91º, 92º, 93º or 94º degrees only. Be sure your Diamond Guides angle matches your File Guide. Why 3? Because it saves you time. For example, you can use one for burr removal, one for sharpening and one for polishing. Many of our customers suggested we offer this, so we have. With replaceable diamond you only need to buy the machined aluminium backing disc once.
    4. 5 x Diamond Discs - you receive all 5 of our discs - 120, 200, 400, 600 and 1000 grits. Mount on your Diamond Guides for both side-edge sharpening & polishing. Diamond Discs work better on side-edges since all of the diamond can be utilized by simply spinning the disc. Replaceable diamond discs allow you to easily replace worn out discs.  Note: you only need to buy the machined aluminium backing disc once.
    5. Special SIDECUT Edge Oil - used with all of our SIDECUT Diamond products. Apply on the side-edges to create smoother, faster edges that grip better on hard-pack and icy conditions. Also, used to clean all Diamond Stones and Discs to extend their life.
    6. PRO Base-Edge Bevel Guide - select 0.5º, 0.7º, 1.0º or 1.5º degree increment. You can also add additional interchangeable glide plates (see drop-down options).  This tool is used to get the exact base bevel and also polish the base-edges of your skis or boards. Comes with the 'wedge'.
    7. Base-Edge File - comes with a 250mm long base-edge Cut 12 File which fits perfectly in our Sidecut Base-Edge Guides. Used for setting the angle of the base-edges and for top sheet clean-up/removal.
    8. File Brush - used to clean and increase the longevity of all files.
    9. 4 x Diamond Stones - you receive a 200, 400, 600 and 1000 grit. 110mm x 25mm or 4.2"x 1" in length and designed to fit perfectly in your Base-Edge Guides. 10. Gummi Green Stone - is what you'll use for the final deburring of your edges and also polishing the stainless steel glide plates on your Guides should they get marked.
    11. Gummi Stone Blue - is harder than our Green Gummi and better for removing corrosion, burrs and detuning edges.
    12. WC Sidewall Remover with Micro-adjuster & Stablizer - this is our best Sidewall Tool because stability & adjustability is crucial when you're learning to remove your sidewalls. Creates clean and smooth sidewalls. Choose between: round standard, round sharp, square or multi carbide cutters. Removing sidewall is mandatory to achieve the exact bevel you desire. Simply turn the thumb knob to dial in the exact cutting tolerance.
    13. Topsheet Remover Designed to remove the top sheet of all skis & boards to precisely 110º or greater if desired. This allows your File/Diamond Guides the necessary clearance to apply the correct bevel.  Used prior to side-edge sharpening whenever interference occurs.  Used in the set-up of all new skis & boards. Note: Top sheets that aren't profiled correctly will interfere with the file and/or stones ability to contact the still at the tips and tails making it impossible to sharpen your edges on the correct angle affecting the performance of the ski.
    14. True Bar - used to evaluate base flatness, edge bevel and the work that needs to be performed prior to tuning. Made of precision steel and accurate to within 1/1000th of an inch.

Choose stiffer or softer bristles.
    18. Steel Scraper - used to remove base, aid in base repairs, removing P-tex, glue or even harder waxes. Made of high quality steel, very sharp and smooth.
    19. Plexi Wax Scraper - with 4 differently machined corners: a 45º corner, a rounded corner for sidewalls, an end-notch for edges and a 90º corner for hard to reach spots. Won't scratch your base.
    20. Vices - Choose between ski or snowboard. SKI: 60mm wide centre jaw clamp pads offer excellent grip and open from 35mm-100mm. Clamps to workbenches or tables up to 60mm thick. End supports adjust in height from 130mm to 170mm and can pivot up to 50º degrees (from straight position) for multiple angle settings. SNOWBOARD: Wide rubber pads offer excellent grip and stability for snowboards both vertically and flat. Rubber pads on top of the clamps allow to safely rest your board base side down to safely adjust bindings or doing other repairs. Clamps to workbenches or tables up to 60mm (2.5 inches) thick. These end supports also feature an adjustable slider mechanism to lock snowboards securely in the vertical position for side-edge work.
    21. 150mm 6 piece Roto Brush Kit - roto handle, shield, stainless steel drive shaft, brass, horse-hair and nylon 150mm roto brushes included. An extremely efficient way for base preparation, cleaning, wax removal, polishing and finishing of the base resulting in the ultimate gliding characteristics of your skis or board.
    22. Digital Iron - Features a smooth control dial to easily adjust temperature by 1 degree increments and has a range from 80º-170º Celcius or 176º-338º Fahrenheit. All SIDECUT Diamond Stones come with a precision machined flat aluminum backing plate that is colour anodized and laser-embossed displaying the grit. Best of all - when the diamond surface wears out you simply peel off and replace with a new self-adhesive sheet. Saving you money and allowing you to replace the diamond as needed.

CHOOSING THE CORRECT DISC

  • 200 grit - Course is best used for burr removal and sharpening. This stone will even sharpen your edges without using a file first. It's always a good idea to carry one in your pocket for a quick hand sharpen or to remove rock damage on the mountain.
  • 400 grit - Medium is used for sharpening and polishing. The most commonly used diamond and a good in-between grit.
  • 600 grit - Fine is best used for the polishing and finishing of your edges.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • For best results use with SIDECUT polishing oil.
  • Oil improves sharpening and polishing time, the speed of the edges and greatly improves the longevity of all your Diamond Stones because it's also used to clean them.

Introducing the all-new SIDECUT Professional WC Base Bevel Guide. Available in 4 degrees, these precision instruments are used to create the utmost accurate 0.5º, 0.7º, 1.0º, or 1.5º base-edge bevel on your skis and snowboards. Our NEW precision CNC machined Base Guides are made of anodized aluminum, stainless steel and delrin and best of all they boast an 'industry-first' design that accepts Diamond Discs.

    KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS

    • A World first innovation that allows you to use SIDECUT Diamond Discs, Diamond Stones, files & ceramic stones on the base-edge.
    • Each guide comes with an 'optional' never seen before, unique SIDECUT embossed 'wedge' used to secure whichever SIDECUT disc, stone or file you desire. Note: The 'WEDGE' is an 'add-on' to this tool and is purchased separately.
    • Replaceable anti-friction 'D gliders' made of Delrin that track along your edges and can be rotated up to 4 times to prolong wear.
    • Interchangle 'stainless steel glide plates' (sold individually) in your choice of 0.5º, 0.7º, 1.0º, and 1.5º increments giving you the most precise base-edge angles. Interchangeable WC Base Bevel Glide Plates - SIDECUT
    • Each glide plate is laser embossed specifying the degree of angle, won't wear from use and prevents you from attaching the incorrect bevel glide plate.
    • All components 100% CNC precision machined and made in North America.
    • Made of the highest quality anodized aluminum (the body), stainless steel (glide plates) and Delrin (edge guides) and machined to the strictest tolerances because accuracy is paramount.
    • You will without question see and feel the superior quality once you use one.

CHOOSING BETWEEN 0.5º, 0.7º, 1.0º and 1.5º BASE BEVEL GUIDES

    • 0.5º - Used on all skis/boards and all slalom skis. For advanced to expert racers who pure carve the majority of their turns and like aggressive and responsive turn initiation and grip.
    • 0.7º - Used when a 0.5º base bevel is a little 'too aggressive' or 'too catchy' for you. Used typically on younger skiers under 14 and most expert All-Mountain skiers and boarders (our recommended 'default' bevel). You may also use on the first 5-20 cm of skis for easier turn initiation while 0.5º is used for the remainder of the edge to the tail.
    • 1.0º - 1.5º - Used for SG/DH skis, for younger ski racers, free-ride, recreational and terrain park style skiers. For those who want easier steering and turn initiation and don't like that catchy feeling. As above, you may also use the 1.0º guide on the first 5-20 cm of skis for easier turn initiation and the remainder on 0.5º or 0.7º degrees for example. Also used frequently by ski teachers working with lower end clients where steering skills are crucial, freeriders, and for the park and pipe. Recreational skiers commonly prefer 1.0º to 1.5º  for all around use because it allows the skis to steer easier.
    GOOD TO KNOW

Have your skis or boards ever felt 'catchy' or like they won't 'skid or steer' in certain snow conditions? This in most cases is due to inadequate base-edge bevel. This can be very frustrating, dangerous, impair skill development and cause your on-snow experience to be far less motivational.

As you can see, all 4 bevel options have a place from the beginner to the expert and therefore your decision is based on your own personal preference, skill level, strength, ski/board type & snow conditions. It's a good idea to start with 0.5º, test it, if it's too aggressive move up to 0.7º or a 1.0º guide. Remember you can easily add more base-edge angle but you can't go from a 1.0º bevel back to a 0.5º bevel without grinding your skis or board flat again.

Typically, all brand new skis & boards need to be prepared first before being skied or ridden, even if they are new from the factory.

Note: All SIDECUT Diamond Stones, Diamond Discs, Ceramic Stones, Files and Hard Stones have been designed to fit in the WC Base Bevel Guides.

Used For: Race, All-Mountain, Free-ride, Powder skis and Snowboards.

      9. Nanox training wax is used for the conditioning & preparation of all bases.

    APPLICATION STEPS

      1. Clean the base with your preferred method (see options in video below).

      2. To guarantee optimal performance with NANOX, it is required that the structure of the base conforms to the snow conditions and that the ski has been ground absolutely flat and fiber-free.
      3. With constant use Nanox not only protects the base by lasting longer but also creates changes to the base at the molecular level - known as “higher ground speed”. Use it exclusively and see the difference.
      4. If you're ski touring, Nanox training and Extra-hard training wax (only) may affect the glue on some skins with prolonged use.

      2. To guarantee optimal performance with NANOX, it is required that the structure of the base conforms to the snow conditions and that the skis have been ground absolutely flat and fiber-free.
      3. Use Nanox Training wax repeatedly to condition bases.
      4. Nanox only protects the base by lasting longer but also creates changes to the base at the molecular level - known as “higher ground speed”. Use it exclusively and see the difference.
      5. If you're ski touring, Supernano II can be used with skins.

Used by: Alpine, Snowboarder and Nordic competitors.

Nanox's Extra-Hard formula was designed specifically for these extreme conditions to protect your bases by keeping the wax in the base longer.  You'll see a visible difference in durability.**

    • A precision machined professional tool with aluminium guide.
    • Stainless steel anti-friction glide plate.
    • Tool holder with NEW micro-adjustable stainless steel shaft.
    • Carbide cutter of your choice & allen key(s) to adjust cutter as needed.
    • Roller bearing stabilizer.

    • New design that enables you to "micro adjust" the spring loaded stainless steel shaft so you can perfectly dial-in the most accurate cutting depths of the sidewall with the thumb knob.
    • Easy to use & setup for any level.
    • The stabilization system rolls perfectly steady down the side-edge so you can confidently and precisely remove the desired amount of sidewall and prevent any chatter marks.
    • The stainless steel plate gives added tool longevity and better anti-friction gliding characteristics on the base.
    • Removing the sidewall creates clearance allowing the file to sharpen the edges at your desired angle and therefore used prior to side-edge sharpening whenever interference occurs.
    • If not removed the sidewall will interfere with the file or stones ability to contact the steel making it impossible sharpen your edges.
    CHOOSING THE APPROPRIATE CUTTER
    • The Round Standard cutter (gold) is typically used for 'sandwich' construction skis.

92º degree Guides are without a doubt the most common angle used.
      2. WC File - choose between Cut 10, 14, 15 or 16.  For use on side-edges with your File Guide. Short files work better for side-edge sharpening because they give a more accurate bevel.
      3. WC Diamond Guides - choose between 91º, 92º, 93º or 94º degrees. Be sure the angle of your Diamond Guide matches the angle of your File Guide. Used for sharpening and polishing after filing as well as removing burrs before filing. Why use a Diamond Guide? Because it eliminates the need to exchange files and diamonds on only a File Guide, saving you considerable time.
      4. Diamond Discs - choose between a 120, 200, 400, 600 and 1000 grits. Mount on your Diamond Guides for the side-edge sharpening & polishing. Diamond Discs work better on side-edges since all of the diamond can be utilized by simply spinning the disc.
      5. Base-Edge Guides - choose between 0.5, 0.7, 1.0 and 1.5 degree increments. Used to polish and remove burrs on the base-edges of your skis or boards.
      6. Base-Edge File - comes with a 150mm base-edge specific Cut 16 File which is a little finer cut and optimal for setting the angle of the base-edges.
      7. File Brush- used to clean and increase the longevity of all your files.
      8. Diamond Stones - choose between a 200, 400, 600 and 1000 grits. 110mm x 25mm or 4.4"x 1" in length and designed to fit perfectly in your Base Edge Guides. With replaceable diamond sheets you'll never need to buy or replace the backing plate - saving you money.
      9. Gummi Stone - is what you'll use for the final deburring of your edges. Also recommended for polishing the stainless steel glide plates on your Guides should they get scratched.
      10. WC Sidewall Remover with Micro-adjuster & Stablizer - this is our best Sidewall tool because stability & adjustability is important when you're learning to remove your sidewalls. Creates clean and smooth sidewalls. Choose between: round standard, round sharp, square or a multi carbide cutter. Removing sidewall is mandatory to achieve the exact bevel you desire on side-edges. Simply turn the thumb knob to dial in the exact cutting tolerance.

Want one tool that beautifully sharpens your edges & easily removes your sidewalls? Try our File Guide with Sidewall Adapter Kit.

    KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS
      • Cleverly designed to be two tools in one for those of you who don't want the expense of buying two separate tools to remove sidewall and sharpen their edges. Saves space in your tuning kit too.

      • All of our File Guides are made of the highest quality aluminium and machined to the strictest tolerances because accuracy is essential.

TYROLIT Elastik Files are the optimal alternative to diamond stones for polishing and fine-tuning of your edges. Due to their elasticity, a uniform contact zone is achieved on the radius of all skis and boards. A must try!

The difference between Tyrolit files lies in their bond. While Tyrolit Elastic Files shown here have a resin bond and are slightly flexible, Ceramic Files (see below) have a ceramic bond and are stiff. Typically, Elastik Files are used after Ceramic Files.

    ELASTIK FILE SET INCLUDES

All SIDECUT Diamond Stones come with a precision machined flat aluminum backing plate that is colour anodized and laser-embossed displaying the grit. Best of all - when the diamond surface wears out you simply peel off and replace with a new self-adhesive sheet. Saving you money and allowing you to replace the diamond as needed.

    CHOOSING THE CORRECT STONE

    GOOD TO KNOW

    • For best results use with SIDECUT polishing oil.
    • Oil improves sharpening and polishing time, the speed of the edges and greatly improves the longevity of all your Diamond Stones because it's also used to clean them.

      • Our Standard Diamond Guides are precision machined aluminium and DO NOT include our steel anti-friction glide plate.

SIDECUT Diamond Discs are the slickest innovation in diamond stone technology.

They make sharpening the side-edges of your skis and boards faster & more precise than ever before. We even recommend them over traditional rectangular stones because you can simply spin the disc as needed, utilising all of diamond material. For example, on a traditional rectangular stone a linear wear pattern is created, wearing out quicker and leaving much of the diamond material is unusable.

Diamond Discs were designed to fit on our SIDECUT Diamond Guides but can also work on SIDECUT File Guides when used with our Trigger Clamping System. Made of high-grade aluminum and precision machined flat so you can achieve the most accurate side-edge bevel. Beautifully anodized in attractive colours and laser-embossed corresponding to their grit, each disc comes in its own protective storage container. Best of all - the diamond material can be replaced when worn out! That's right when the self-adhesive disc wears out simply peel it off and replace it which means you save money by keeping the backing disc forever.

      CHOOSING THE CORRECT DISC

      • 120 & 200 grits are used for sharpening, removing burrs and for hardened edges. Great for getting your edges back to the angle your desire quickly without using a file.
      • 400 grit is used for sharpening and polishing. A great disc to carry in your pocket on the mountain also.

TYROLIT Ceramic Files make both sharpening and polishing ski & board edges easy by means of three stones. Edges are gradually deburred, smoothed and sharpened. Three different grits: coarse, medium and fine enable cutting that is individually adapted to the snow conditions and ensure a high surface quality.

The difference between Tyrolit files lies in their bond. While the Ceramic Files shown here have a ceramic bond and are stiff, Tyrolit Elastic Files (see below) have a resin bond and are slightly flexible.

      CERAMIC SET INCLUDES
      • Course: Grey 120 grit. For eliminating edge hardening or large-scaling on the edges caused by machines. To protect your steel files, this ceramic file can be used to repair particularly damaged edges. Can be used instead of steel files in certain cases.
      • Medium: Berry 180 grit. Used after the course file for both sharpening and fine tuning of the edges. Can be used to remove small burrs as well.
      • Fine: Pink 320 grit. This file ensures a precise cut. Used to remove small scratches as well as create smooth, finely-tuned polished edges.

SUGGESTED USE: with SIDECUT Base Guides & File Guides.

      Code: CARROT_STO_CERA
This long lasting ceramic stone is the recommended 2nd stone to have after the 120g stone (which comes 'standard' with the Carrot side-edge grinder). It is used second, after the 120g stone when the athlete requires a more aggressive grip and very hard to injected snow conditions.

      Code: CARROT_STO_80
The 80g grinding stone was specifically designed to set the edge angle. Typically used for rougher cutting or first cut.

      Code: CARROT_STO_240
The 240 grinding stone was designed to give 'not too aggressive' sharpened edges allowing for easy turn initiation and therefore suggested for FIS level speed events such as SG and DH.

      Code: CARROT_STO_120
This 120g grinding stone comes standard with the Carrot side-edge sharpener.  It's the recommended stone for all young to adult users.

Note: If you're using this machine for higher level athletes then we suggest adding the ceramic stone to your kit. The ceramic stone is then used as your 2nd stone after the 120g and is for those needed the a more aggressive and stronger grip on icy or injected snow conditions.

      CARROT DIAMOND STONE
      • This stone is the highest performing stone in the CARROT range. After testing more then 300 different solutions, they've developed the perfect stone for elite level technical skiers (World Cup) on injected snow type surfaces. The Diamond Disc gives the athlete an incredible feeling of grip with increased confidence with earlier turn initiation. The Diamond disc is adhered to an anodized aluminum body. The brass roto brush is typically used as your first brush before waxing for optimal base cleaning, renewal and revitalization of your base. Also, commonly used as your first brush after waxing to re-open the base structure. Ever struggle to figure out why your skis or board doesn't feel right - even after a grind? Here's a solution. A Base-Edge Bevel Meter.

      KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS

      • This is a beautifully precision engineered Base-Edge Bevel Meter accurate to 0.01º degrees.
      • It's used to measure the amount of base-edge bevel or angle you have on your skis or snowboards.
      • Have you ever been skeptical as to what base-edge degree the shop actually put on your base edge? Then this tool is the easiest and most accurate way for you to check base bevel, whether you're doing it yourself or validating the work done by a machine. You'll be amazed how often it's not what you thought.
      • Once you use this tool you'll appreciate the important insight into understanding how only a very small change in base-edge bevel dramatically affects how your skis feel on the snow.
      • Comes in protective box with perfectly shaped rubber foam insert making it easy to access & assemble.
      • Includes LED light providing backlight enabling perfect measurements (see video above for use).
      • Easy to read digital display. I.e. 0.56 = 0.56º degrees of base-edge bevel.
      • Includes battery.
      IMPORTANT TO KNOW

      • The set-up & accuracy of your base-edge bevel is related to both your strength, skill level and discipline (I.e. free-ride, SL, DH etc.).
      • It's crucial to get this 'just right' for the individual needs of the skier/rider, otherwise it can drastically impair skill development and ski/board performance.
Used For: Race, All-Mountain, Free-ride, Powder skis and Snowboards.

SIDECUT Base Bevel Guides are used to create a 0.5º, 0.7º, 1.0º or 1.5º base-edge bevel on your skis or snowboards - the easy way. Ever use base bevel tools that simply feel like nothing is happening? Not with these.

Have your skis or boards ever felt 'catchy' or like they won't 'skid or steer' in certain snow conditions? This in most cases is due to inadequate base-edge bevel. This can be very frustrating, dangerous and impair skill development and simply make your on-snow experience very poor.

      CHOOSING BETWEEN 0.5º, 0.7º, 1.0º & 1.5º BASE BEVEL GUIDES

      • 0.5º - Used on all skis/boards and all slalom skis. For advanced to expert racers who pure carve the majority of their turns and like aggressive and responsive turn intiation and grip.
      • 0.7º - Used when a 0.5º base bevel is a little 'too aggressive' or 'too catchy' for you. Used typically on younger skiers under 14 and most expert All-Mountain skiers and boarders. You may also use on the first 10-20 cm of skis for easier turn initiation while 0.5º is used for the remainder of the edge to the tail.
      • 1.0º/1.5º - Used for SG/DH skis, for younger ski racers, free-ride and terrain park style skiers. For those who want easier steering and turn initiation and don't like that catchy feeling. As above, you may also use the 1.0º or 1.5º guide on the first 10-20 cm of skis for easier turn initiation and the remainder on 0.5º or 0.7º degrees. Also used frequently by ski teachers working with lower end clients where steering skills are crucial, freeriders, and for the park and pipe. Recreational skiers commonly prefer 1.0º to 1.5º for all around use because it allows the skis to steer easier.
      GOOD TO KNOW

As you can see all 4 are utilized from the beginner to expert and therefore your decision is based on your own personal preference, skill level, strength, ski/board type & snow conditions. Always start with 0.5º, test it, if it's too aggressive move up to 0.7º, 1.0º or a 1.5º guide. Remember you can easily add more base-edge angle but you can't go from a 1.0º bevel back to a 0.5º bevel without grinding your skis/board flat again.

Typically, all brand new skis & boards need to be prepared first before being used, even if they are new from the factory.

Note: All SIDECUT Diamond Stones, Ceramic Stones and Hard Stones have been designed to fit in our Base Bevel Guides.

Have your skis or boards ever felt 'catchy' or like they won't 'skid or steer' in certain snow conditions? This in most cases is due to inadequate base-edge bevel. This can be very frustrating, dangerous and impair skill development and simply make your riding experience very poor.

Used For: Race, All-Mountain, Free-ride, Powder skis and Snowboards.

      DIFFERENT CUTTER TYPES
      • The Round Standard cutter (gold) is typically used for 'sandwich' construction skis.
The cutting characteristics of our cutters are the best we've tested and will last for years. Easily interchangable on our tools.

Ever struggle to figure out why your skis or board doesn't feel right - even after a grind? Here's a solution. An all-in-one Base-Edge and Side-Edge Bevel Gauge.

      KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS

      • Precision engineered base-edge & side-edge bevel gauge accurate to 0.01º degrees.
      • It's used to measure the amount of both base-edge bevel & side-edge bevel on your skis or snowboards.
      • Have you ever been skeptical as to what base-edge degree the shop actually put on your base-edge or side-edge? Then this tool is easy way for you to check base and side bevel, whether you're doing it yourself or validating the work done by a machine. You'll be amazed how often it's not what you thought.
      • Once you use this tool you'll appreciate the important insight into understanding how only a very small change in base-edge bevel dramatically affects how your skis feel on the snow.
      • Easy to read laser-etched degrees enable you to validate your base-edge bevel from 0.3º to 2.0º and side-edge bevel from 0.0º to 5.0º/90º to 85º.

      Code: WAX_NX_SUPER_NANO_III

Ever get confused which overlay to put on your skis or board on race day? No need to with Nanox Supernano III.

New & improved - Supernano 3 is a Race Finishing Wax designed for more humid and/or dirty snow conditions at temperatures from -3 to 3ºC / from 26.6 to 37.4ºF. It has the absolute highest acceleration level, is extremely dirt and weather resistant and is a fluorine-free glide wax. Designed to be used on its own or as an overlay on top of CFX II race wax when desired. Supernano 3 is 15g will last up to 100 pairs of skis.

      KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS

      1. Nanox Supernano III is a Race Finishing wax designed for more humid and/or dirty snow conditions at temperatures around 0ºC.
      2. Supernano III has the absolute highest acceleration level.
      3. Extremely dirt and moisture resistant.
      4. It's Non-toxic = does NOT contain Flourocarbons.
      5. Designed to be used all on its own or as an overlay on top of CFX II race wax when desired.
      6. 15 grams will last up to 100 pairs of skis.

      APPLICATION - OPTION 1

      1. Clean the base with your preferred method.
      2. Rub a thick layer onto the base.
      3. Iron the wax in at 120°C / 248°F with only 1 pass of the iron.
      4. Brush/polish out the wax almost immediately with a SIDECUT stiff nylon brush.
      5. Let stand until completely cooled and re-brush using back and forth or 'scrubbing technique' (re-brush prior to start optional).

      APPLICATION - OPTION 2

      1. If ironing is not possible then apply an even thicker layer of Supernano Ill on top of CFX II race wax.
      2. Immediately brush/polish with firm pressure in both directions ('scrubbing technique') with a stiff SIDECUT nylon brush until an extremely high sheen is achieved. Finish with a SIDECUT soft nylon brush if desired.

      IMPORTANT TO KNOW

      1. With ALL NANOX products, leaving the waxes on longer does NOT make the skis faster. We recognize these simple waxing protocols may not be what you're used to, however once you realize that you are faster with NANOX you'll appreciate the system.
      5. If you're ski touring, Supernano III can be used with skins.

Used by: Alpine, Snowboard and Nordic competitors.

      Trust NANOX. It's Simply Faster.

Our new Professional Series 140mm Roto Brush Kit with 'Quick Change System' was designed for the most discerning wax enthusiasts. The rotos enable an extremely efficient & professional method for base preparation, base cleaning, wax removal, polishing and finishing resulting in superior gliding characteristics of your skis or boards. All of the superior quality roto brushes in this kit are all 140mm in length. Due to the design of this system, the brushes can move side to side across any base width without interference from the handle on the sidewall of the ski or board, which means you can use on all widths of any ski or board.

140mm 6 PIECE Professional ROTO BRUSH KIT FEATURES

      1. Professional Roto handle with sealed bearings.
      2. Hexagonal stainless steel drive shaft.
      3. Clear see-through protection/safety cover so you can see what you're doing.
      4. Copper Roto Brush - 11mm length bristles.
      6. Hard Nylon Roto Brush - 7mm length bristles. Typically the last brush used for removing wax and polishing the base. Nylon brushes are recommended exclusively by Nanox Wax for the final finishing step when using all Nanox Training, CFX, Spray and Supernano waxes.
